BALDROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Baldrock Fire Department is to provide a wide range of public safety services to approximately 400 residents and encompassing 38 square miles.

Fire prevention is the first priority of any fire service organization.  The fire prevention team is the first line of defense for the residents of our jurisdictional area. 

The fire suppression segment will provide a competent, well-trained contingent of personnel to be available at all times in the event of an emergency.  The Baldrock Fire Department will provide for the distribution of fire suppression assets throughout our jurisdictional area in accordance with the manpower and equipment constraints.

Along with fire suppression, The Baldrock Fire Department will provide well trained and disciplined personal to perform rescue operations which includes Auto Extrication, Rope Rescue, Water Rescue, Farm Rescue and Rough Terrain.

It’s the responsibility of the Baldrock Fire Department to plan, develop and implement Standard Operating Guidelines for the operation of the department.  The Standard Operating Guidelines shall incorporate the guidelines dictated by local laws, states laws, federal regulations and any other appropriate agency requirements.

The training of personnel shall be planned for and developed in conjunction with the department SOG’s.  The Fire Chief and or Officer having  authority shall be responsible for providing training for all personal.  Training record management shall be in accordance with regulations prescribed by the authority granting approval.

It is imperative that the officers of the Baldrock Fire Department be fiscally responsible while dealing with the assets allocated for the department.  The responsibility extends to the maintenance of tools, equipment and other assets belonging to the Baldrock Fire Department. 

The Baldrock Fire Department is committed to serving the citizens, residents and visitors in an emergency or crisis situation, through management of all personnel and equipment available.  The protection of life and property is the premier goal of this department.
